Jack Black— not to be confused with the actor and musician— is a men’s skincare brand that proudly wears the title of “#1 Men’s Skincare Brand” according to the U.S. Prestige Beauty Total Measured Market.
They have a specific set of brand guidelines that while working with them, have changed. When I first started working with them, I was proud to have made a set of evergreen designs for them they were extremely pleased with. But, recently the guidelines came under the process of changing, so I was tasked to find a solid ground again with a lot of communication and trial and error. Like with many clients before them, I’ve found that good communication and trying a variety of approaches can help a brand find it’s visual satisfaction and create a balanced relationship between designer and client.
